Manifesting some good news…

img018After putting in 5 offers for different homes I LOVED during an upswing in an already competitive market, I finally had an offer accepted! But…that was a little over 2 months ago. The home is a short sale, so it’s a lengthy, patience-testing process. We are just waiting to hear back from the bank on whether or not they are going to accept my offer.

Claiming space in doormatsIn the meantime, I received my first housewarming gift – 2 beautiful doormats. The person that gifted them to me suggested that I write my name on the back of one and drop it off at the house. Who knows? Maybe putting my name out there and connecting myself to this home could make something happen. At the very least, it helps me hold on to hope and excitement that one day this house can be my home. Even if it doesn’t work out, the new homeowners would have an adorable doormat to welcome them. With my name. But I’m sure they would never see that. 🙂

So I did it. The doormat is at the house. I was a total creeper too. I mean, here is this woman, taking photos of her feet on a doormat on the front porch of a vacant “for sale” home. I’m just awkward, anyway.

Well, folks…one week after dropping off the mats, I find out that I am getting the house!!! Well, unofficially. I just heard that the bank is going to approve my offer!!! This is (sur)real. We should be getting the official acceptance either today(!), or sometime next week.

Um, what?!

Stay tuned for an onslaught of home decorating projects!!!
